Southeast Iowa man headed to federal prison

WASHINGTON, IOWA -- A Washington, Iowa man is headed to federal prison on drug-related charges.

Dion Dittrich, 43, was sentenced to more than six years in prison for possession of pseudoephedrine with intent to manufacture methamphetamine.

In 2008 authorities discovered over 700 pseudoephedrine pills at Dittrich's home in Washington, Iowa. They also found other items commonly used to make meth at the home.

After being released from prison, Dittrich will have two years of supervised release and will have to pay $100 dollars to the Crime Victims Fund.
