8 injured when SUV hydroplanes, overturns

NEAR MILLARD, MO. -- A rollover wreck late Wednesday afternoon sent eight people to the hospital.

It happened at 5:15 p.m. on Highway 63 one mile south of Millard.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a Ford Excursion SUV driven by Jennifer Elsea, 24, of Kirksville was northbound on Highway 63 when it hydroplaned, ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned.

Passenger Marshall Allen, 18, of Kirksville received moderate injuries.

The other seven people in the SUV sustained minor injuries.

They are Lyndsey Calhoun, 29, of Kirksville; the driver, Jennifer Elsea; Bryan Green, 19, of Kirksville; Courtney Jordan, 23, of Kirksville; Brennan Sanders, 19, of Kirksville; Kimberly Elsea, 21, of Greentop; Michael Osbourn, 19, of Greentop.

Adair County ambulances took the eight people to Northeast Regional Medical Center. A hospital spokeswoman told KTVO Wednesday night that all of them were treated and released.
