KIRKSVILLE, MO --

The El Kadir Shrine Club in Kirksville recently held its annual medical evaluation clinic for kids. It's a free screening to see if kids are eligible for medical care at the Shriners Children's Hospital in St. Louis.

“Our mission is to help children. We try and have fun doing it but the best part of all is that the care is free of charge. If the community can remember that and take advantage of it at every opportunity we will have done our job,” said Shriner Bob Libby.

If you missed this year's clinic, you can still get help. Just contact a Shriner or the El Kadir Shrine Club and they will make connections to the appropriate hospital. They can also help out with transportation costs.

You can reach the El Kadir Shrine Club at 660-665-3312.
