NEAR ATLANTA, MO. -- A northeast Missouri man was seriously hurt in a one-vehicle crash in Macon County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the pickup driven by Michael Combs, 40, of LaPlata ran off the side of Old Highway 63, north of Atlanta Tuesday morning.

Authorities said Combs overcorrected, and the vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway, hit an embankment and overturned.

Combs was flown to University Hospital in Columbia where, as of late Tuesday afternoon, he was listed in serious condition.
