UNIONVILLE, MO -- Putnam County High School held its first-ever academic hall of fame ceremony Wednesday morning.
The ceremony recognized alumni who have achieved extraordinary success in their high school, college and professional careers, and to provide role models to current students of Putnam County High School.
International Rotary Club President Ray Klinginsmith was one of this year's recipients. He told KTVO that this was a proud achievement.
“This is the Inaugural class of Academic Hall of Fame Awardees at Putnam County High School...we know it as Unionville High School...and so I'm very honored to be in this inaugural class," said Klinginsmith.
Klinginsmith also had some positive words for Putnam County High School.
“To think beyond themselves. To work hard and play hard. Enjoy life. Remember where you’re from. And above all, make the world a better place," Klinginsmith said.
Nominees had to spend their entire high school career at Putnam County High school and graduate at least twenty years ago. Nominees also had to be living at the time of nomination.
Other inductees included: Stephen Rockwood, Ph.D. Physics, High School Class of 1961; Jane Godfrey,J.D., High School Class of 1969; Joel Pratt, D.D.S., High School Class of 1970.
