OTTUMWA, IOWA -- The Ottumwa School Board held a public meeting Monday night to discuss the proposed school budget .
More than a dozen residents attended to listen and voice any concerns about the school district's 2010-2011 budget. John Donner, Business Manager, said this year's budget was one of the most difficult in years.
“There was some major cuts across the board,” Donner said. “The thought of what could happen for the next year '10-'11 school year. We had all kind of estimates and had to plan for a whole gamut of things."
Donner added that the board has enough information to make a decision. The board will vote on the budget April 12, the date of its next meeting.
