After a harsh winter, the expo offers visitors a chance to prepare for spring gardening or home landscaping.
OTTUMWA, IOWA -- The Second Annual "All-Iowa Horticulture Exposition" kicked off on Friday at the Bridge View Center in Ottumwa.
Visitors can see everything from butterflies and plants to spend time learning about gardening and landscaping techniques. There are several live demonstrations throughout the day.
Lectures will also be given by prominent horticulturalists including Dan Heims of Terra Nova Nurseries, and Dr. Lois Girton who will be speaking about "Ornamental Grasses for Iowa Gardens."
The Horticulture Expo will be open from 9 AM to 2 PM on Saturday at Bridge View. Admission is $10 for adults, children under the age of 12 get in for free.
And as the slogan states, "It's a green place to be."
