Two off city council ballot

KIRKSVILLE, MO --

Only three names instead of five will appear on the ballot for Kirksville City Council.

David Lee Mountain and Kevin Alm are disqualified from running for a council seat. City Clerk Vickie Brumbaugh tells KTVO the two are disqualified for not paying their 2009 taxes. That's a violation of a state statute.

That leaves incumbents Aaron Rodgerson and Richard Detweiler in the running, along with Tony Fajkus.
