DES MOINES, IOWA (AP) -- Gov. Chet Culver has issued an emergency proclamation for Carroll, Cass and Sac Counties.
The proclamation issued Thursday evening allows state resources to be utilized in response to the ice storm that brought up to an inch of ice to the area earlier this week.
The Governor's proclamation allows the state to provide generators to communities such as Carroll, Lake View, Early and Deadham.
Cots and blankets will be provided to those affected in Lake View and Early. Finally, assistance through the Department of Corrections will be provided to Atlantic.
