KIRKSVILLE, MO --

Although Christmas Day is behind us, millions will still be traveling by car for family celebrations and plans for ringing in the new year.

Our Fact Finder Team compiled a 10-minute vehicle check-up list to make sure your holiday driving is stress free.

Check all fluids. This includes the engine oil, power steering, brake and transmission fluids, as well as windshield washer solvent and antifreeze.

Check the hoses and belts that can become cracked, brittle, or frayed.

Check the tires, including tire pressure and tread. Also look for bulges and bald spots on your tires.

As a rule of thumb, windshield wipers should be replaced every six months and lighting should be checked each month.
