KTVO has obtained exclusive information regarding the officer involved shooting that occurred in Seymour Iowa last month.

Wayne County Attorney Alan Wilson told KTVO late Wednesday afternoon that he had received the report of the investigation from the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation. Wilson told KTVO that four shots were fired by the Iowa State trooper involved in the incident. One shot struck the front of the vehicle; two more shots were slowed after going thru the front of the car before striking the suspect, 26-year-old Justin Jacob, in the chest. The fourth shot struck Jacob in the head.

Wilson told us the suspect remains hospitalized. He said he hopes to make a decision on the justification of the shooting and any charges against the suspect in the next two weeks. The trooper involved, Chris Spencer, an 11 year veteran of the patrol, remains on paid administrative leave.
