KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- The Adair County Health Department will offer more H1N1 vaccination clinics this week.
Health officials will also now provide the vaccine to more of the county's residents. The H1N1 vaccine will be available for pregnant women in all trimesters living in Adair County or the surrounding counties.
Children ages two through four can also receive the vaccine. The health department will now also offer it to high risk children ages three to four. The high risk group includes kids with asthma, respiratory problems, diabetes, heart conditions or other chronic illnesses.
Caregivers who work with children ages newborn to three years old are also now eligible to receive the H1N1 vaccine.
Children and pregnant women must have a doctor's note prescribing the vaccine. Kids can't receive the H1N1 vaccination if they've had the nasal seasonal flu mist in the last three to four weeks.
The H1N1 vaccination clinics will be held at the Adair County Health Department on Jamison St. in Kirksville on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon and 12:30 to 4 p.m.
