Four arrested in connection with pot operation

LEWIS COUNTY, MO. -- Four northeast Missouri men are behind bars facing drug charges.

The Lewis County Marijuana Eradication Team arrested the men Friday after months of investigation into a marijuana growing operation.

Christian Dade, 17, of LaBelle, Mo. is charged with production of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. He's being held in the Lewis County Jail in lieu of a $75,000 cash only bond.

Dennis Scifres, 21, of Monticello, Mo.,18-year-old James Burchell of LaGrange, Mo., and 17-year-old Dillon Hoffman of LaBelle, Mo., are charged with production of a controlled substance. All three are being held in the Lewis County Jail, each in lieu of a $50,000 cash only bond.

The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office, Missouri State Highway Patrol and North Missouri Drug Task Force participated in the investigation.
