SEYMOUR, IOWA -- A viewer called KTVO Thursday morning to let us know that there was a shooting in Seymour and school Thursday for Seymour Community School District was cancelled.
We contacted the superintendent and he confirmed that there was a shooting outside the high school in front of the administrative buildings Wednesday night.
The area is taped up and he didn’t want students to be concerned. School is cancelled for Thursday.
The superintendant was told the area should be cleared Friday for classes to resume. He says that no students were involved in the shooting.
