Kirksville--The rain didn't keep the Adair County Health Department from delivering drive-thru influenza shots Thursday.  Hundreds waited in line at the NEMO fairgrounds for the annual flu clinic.  Everyone from children to seniors were given shots while they waited in their car.  This event took over 40 volunteers to pull off.

Folks who attended Thursday's clinic all agreed that this was a deal they couldn't pass up.

"It's time for the flu shots.  They're offering them free.  It's a great service...and it's free!” said Charles Jackson.

"It's quick...It's easy. It's free. Don't have to wait in the doctor's office," said Krieg Shauser.

If you missed Thursday's  drive-thru clinic, there will be several walk-in clinics held through next month.  The dates are: September 25, 28, and 30 as well as October 2, 5, 7, 9, and 14.  The shots are free to all taxpayers in Adair County and will only be given during the hours of 8:00am-Noon and 12:30pm-4:00pm.  The Adair County Health Department is located at: 1001 South Jamison St. in Kirksville.  Their number is 660-665-8491.
