(OTTUMWA, Iowa) - The saga continues.
VFW Post 775 has appealed the revocation of its liquor license.
Representatives for the Post filed the paper work on May 6.
The Post lost its license after repeatedly, and openly violating the state's ban on smoking in public places.
Former Post commander, Denny Whitson was so openly defiant of the ban that state VFW removed him from his position.
According to official records, the licensee, the state and any interested parties have until June 19 to file briefs with the state Alcoholic Beverages Division.
Until the appeal is heard by state officials Post 775 may continue to serve alcohol.
