KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- Crews started assembling a new jungle gym in Brashear Park in Kirksville on Friday.

Weather-permitting, the new equipment should be all put together sometime Saturday, but it won't be ready to play on just yet.

City workers will still need to put mulch around the play set.

This particular equipment is designed for kids ages 5-12.

It comes with a price tag of $20,143, which includes installation.

The project is being paid for with revenue from Kirksville’s Capital Improvement Sales Tax.

Last December, a jungle gym for kids ages 2-5 was put up in Brashear Park.

Earlier this week, Public Works crews put in a new drainage system so there won't be big puddles of water standing in Brashear Park after it rains.
