KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- Some students from Kirksville High School got a taste of the real world Friday in the form of a mock job interview.

Students in Mr. Higgins' "Principles of Communication" class had to write a cover letter and put together a resume for the mock interviews.

The interviewers were various business and community leaders, including KTVO’s own John Garlock, who's helped with the project every year since it started.

The volunteer interviewers provide constructive criticism to students to help them be more successful as they pursue their career goals.

A-Plus Coordinator Melissa Eitel said "Interview Day" has been a part of the curriculum at KHS for the past 12 years.
