DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - An administrative law judge has recommended that the liquor license for a VFW post in Ottumwa be revoked for violating the state's smoking ban.
A hearing in the case was held March 16 and the proposed decision by the judge was announced on Tuesday.
The VFW Post 775 has 30 days to appeal the decision to the administrator of the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division.
The action follows a decision by the agency last week to revoke the liquor license of a bar in West Burlington and suspend the license of a bar in Wilton for 30 days.
So far, the Iowa attorney general's office has filed 41 complaints for violating the smoking ban, which took effect last July.
