OTTUMWA, IOWA- The Ottumwa Men’s Shelter is getting closer to completion.
Volunteers from the community and churches have been working countless hours to make this ministry a reality for homeless men in Wapello County.
The drywall is up, and volunteers are beginning to paint their vision.
"We feel it’s really important to help out our local community members. There’s many, many mission opportunities all over the world, but here in Ottumwa I guess it’s just because it’s local and we can help out people that really need our help,” said Julie Thomas, Volunteer.
Although the Men’s Shelter is progressing in its development, there is still a lot of work to be done before it is complete.
You can contact the Ottumwa Outreach Center to find out details on how you can help to cause by donating time or money.
