Murder charges filed

Charges have now been filed in the double homicide that occurred Tuesday in LaGrange, MO. Lewis County officials tell KTVO, Christopher Piersee, 24, of LaGrange is facing two counts of second degree murder in connection with the death of his wife and infant son. 

Authorities say Patricia Piersee was shot to death, while the couple’s six month old son, Landon was killed by a strike to the head, by either a fist or other object.

Lewis County Sheriff's office officials say this remains an open investigation. Piersee has been transferred to a Missouri Department of Corrections evaluation facility according to the Lewis County Sheriff's Department.

Autopsies on the victims were conducted Wednesday. Christopher Piersee is being held without bond on the two murder charges.
