KIRKSVILLE, MO -- Many Kirksville residents got a chance to get an inside look at a major project.

The Northeast Missouri Health Council invited the public to an open house at its new medical building on West Jefferson Street early Tuesday evening.

Tours were given for people to see the new rooms and learn about how the new building is allowing the health council to expand its services in OB/GYN, Northeast Pediatrics, and Northeast Dental.

Northeast Missouri Health Council Executive Director, Andy Grimm told KTVO how him and his staff were excited with the big turnout and how much they appreciate the community's support.

"We are very proud and not only are they getting to see our physical space, but they are also meeting our providers and staff. That's part of our quality experience for their health care. We are happy they are here with us tonight," Grimm said.

The new facility allows people to get advanced medical services in the kirksville area without having to go out of town.

Northeast Dental will be working in partnership with A.T. Still University's dental school.

The construction on the building took about eleven months to complete.
