KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- Kirksville Regional Economic Development, Inc. (K-REDI) now has a new logo.

At Tuesday's monthly meeting, K-REDI members approved the new design that's been in the works for several weeks now.

The group enlisted the help of Truman State University's Fine Arts Publications Club to come up with the new logo.

The students took it on as a group project, and they have been working on it for most of the current semester.

"We have decided on a logo having the state of Missouri as the outline,” said Burt Beard, K-REDI VP and Logo Committee chairman.  “We're showing the green for the agriculture that we have in the state of Missouri, and then we went with the star in the northeast corner of the state."

The new logo underwent several revisions along the way.

The K-REDI board announced that the group's newly revamped website is now up and running.

K-REDI is also starting a monthlong membership drive where current members are divided up into teams for a little friendly competition to see which group can recruit the most new members to be a part of the organization.
