KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- A convicted child molester from northern Missouri learned Friday that he will spend decades in prison.

On Friday afternoon, Judge Russell Steele sentenced David Darr Senior, 63, of Marceline to a total of 57 years behind bars.

Back in September 2012, an Adair County jury found Darr guilty on a total of seven counts: one charge of child molestation, three counts of "first"-degree statutory sodomy and three counts of "second"-degree statutory sodomy.

During their investigation, Marceline police officers discovered that Darr had sexually abused three child victims at his home between mid-2007 and mid-2009.

Darr's sentences on the various charges ranged from seven years to 25 years, but when they're all added up, it is a total of 57 years the Marceline man will spend in prison.
