KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- Some firefighters are helping to fight breast cancer again this year.

For the second year in a row, those at the Kirksville Fire Department are "Firefighters For A Cure."

Firefighters are already taking orders for pink t-shirts to wear for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.

After the success of last year's event, firefighters are hoping this year will be even more popular.

"We've had friends and family members who had this. It's a great cause to support. The money raised from the sales of the t-shirts will be tried to stay local. It's a good thing,' said Kirksville Firefighter Robert Lewis.

The Kirksville Fire Department is taking orders now through August 20 from 8 a.m. to Noon and 1 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at 401 North Franklin Street in Kirksville or call (660) 665-3734.

T-shirts are $15 each with all sizes available.

The shirts are expected to be ready for pick up in mid-September.
