KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- A northeast Missouri man is behind bars after police say he stole money from a woman and threatened to kill her if she didn't give him more cash.

Larry Washington Jr., 20, of Kirksville, is charged with burglary and two counts of robbery and assault.
He's being held in the Adair County Jail on $50,000 dollars cash only bond.

According to court papers, Washington demanded that a friend of his give him $20.

Washington then reportedly made her take him to an ATM to get him $20; allegedly telling her he would kill her if she didn't.

Later, police say Washington went to a Kirksville apartment where the victim was sleeping and assaulted her by holding her down and threatening to hit and kill her.
