WASHINGTON COUNTY, IOWA -- A month long investigation into thefts and criminal mischief in Washington County, Iowa, ends with four arrests.
Arrested are Nathaniel Mueller, 22, of Washington, who is charged with twenty felonies and 8 misdemeanors. He could face more than 150 years in prison. Michael Mueller, 19, also of Washington is charged with thirteen felonies and 3 misdemeanors. He could face 115 years in prison.
Travis Peterson, 21, of Washington was also arrested. He is charged with eighteen felonies and 8 misdemeanors. He could face more than 140 years in prison. Alexander Fields, 19, also of Washington. He is charged with 3 felonies and could face twenty years in prison.
Some of the items taken were passenger’s vehicles, semis, an ATV, a riding lawnmower, a boat motor and more. More than $340,000 worth of items were stolen or damaged. The thefts occurred in Henry, Washington Louisa and Johnson counties. A total of 9 law enforcement agencies were involved in the investigation.
