Stabbing leaves two injured

Ottumwa police are investigating after two people were hospitalized following a stabbing, Saturday evening.

OTTUMWA, IA. -- Ottumwa police are investigating after two people were hospitalized following a stabbing, Saturday evening.

According to documents from the Ottumwa Police Department, officers responded to a report of a stabbing on Main Street.

Once officers arrived, they found a person with multiple stab wounds. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Only after about 10 minutes of the initial call, another individual involved in the same incident was located at the intersection of Quincy Avenue.

At that time it was discovered that the individual was also suffering from a stab wound, and authorities say that person was involved in the initial incident.

Neither person's name has been released at this time, and police have not announced any arrests in the case.
