KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- The report of an intoxicated man pounding on the front door of an apartment ends with the man in custody.

Ricoche Abbey, 32, of Kirksville, is charged with first-degree burglary and misdemeanor counts of domestic assault and property damage.

He is being held in the Adair County jail on $75,000 cash only bond.

According to court papers, Abbey was intoxicated and pounding on the front door of an apartment. Before police arrived, he managed to break down the front door.

Abbey is accused of striking the victim in the face during the assault.

His initial court date has not yet been set.
