PUTNAM COUNTY, MO. -- A Heartland father and son are facing multiple felony charges in connection with an insurance scam.

Mark Henry Sr. 47, of Unionville, Mo., is charged with eleven counts of forgery, one count of identity theft and one count of fraud in connection with the sale of insurance.

He’s being held in the Davies-DeKalb County Regional Jail on $150,000 dollars bond.

His son Mark Henry Jr., 26, of Lucerne, Mo., is charged with four counts of forgery, one count of fraud in connection with the sale of insurance and one count of felony stealing.

He's being held in the same jail on $85,000 bond. According to court documents, the two men forged the victims' names on life insurance policies, and then pocketed commissions on the sales.

The men allegedly used the victims' identities, including their social security numbers, to further the fraud. A total of 26 fraudulent policies were written in the incident.

Mark Henry Sr. was the local representative of the life insurance company.
