Ryan Lilly is charged with five counts of stealing a firearm
PUTNAM COUNTY, MO. -- A Heartland man is facing nine felony charges, including six involving weapons.
Ryan Lilly, 27, of Unionville, Missouri, is charged with five counts of stealing a firearm, one count of unlawful possession of a firearm, also one count each of burglary, stealing and stealing a motor vehicle. He is being held in the Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail under $50,000 bond.
According to court papers, the victim reported a burglary earlier this week. The following day he notified the Putnam County Sheriff's Office that he saw some of the items being loaded into a pickup. When deputies arrived the truck was gone, however, a search warrant served at a Unionville residence revealed some of the stolen items.
Ryan Lilly, according to the court papers, went to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office later the same day and admitted to the burglary of the residence and storing the items in his home. He also told deputies where they could find the stolen firearms.
Lilly has previous felony convictions and is being charged as a prior offender in the case.
