KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- Thursday evening the Career Center at Truman State University put on a fashion show, but not just any fashion show.

Thursday night’s event was called "Attire to Inspire."

There were several local vendors like Gliks, Maurices, JC Penny’s among others who were there to showcase their clothes and offer students a look at what you should wear when you're going to a job interview.

The career center had about 20 students who volunteered to be models in the fashion show.

“This is actually our first time,” Career Coordinator Jennifer Woodley said. “We were brainstorming some ways to reach students and to help them out in their career preparation and we've seen so far a really good response.”

The fashion show was free of charge, and all items and services were either loaned or donated.
