KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- Members of Kirksville Regional Economic Development Incorporated (K-REDI) gathered Tuesday afternoon for their annual membership meeting.

Members of K-REDI met at the Kirksville Country Club for a buffet lunch and Director of Economic Development Carolyn Chrisman gave a report of 2012 activities.

She explained to the group how K-REDI goes about bringing different businesses to Kirksville, what different things businesses look for and what we can do as a community to help bring businesses here.

She said this has been a great year.

“It's been exciting,” Chrisman said. “It's been a learning experience all the way. I’ve enjoyed every minute of it and so I’m really looking forward to 2013. I think we've got a lot of great things on the horizon and so we hope to build and the success and the projects that we started in 2012.”

Chrisman said every Kirksville area resident can be an ambassador of the city and help bring business to the area.

During the meeting K-REDI also elected new officers to the board.
