KIRKSVILLE, MO -- The United Way of Adair County and Northeast Missouri is thanking the community for their support.

At the organization's annual meeting and thank you brunch in Kirksville Tuesday, it was announced that this past year's campaign total was $195,000.

Even though the total came up short of the goal, the United Way says the money will help people in the community, and it is thankful for support from the community.

"I would like to thank the Kirksville community for their on-going support for the United Way. Our 13 community partners that help make a huge difference in this community and every gift makes a difference so Thank You to everyone who made a gift this year," said United Way of Adair County Executive Director John Dungan.

The organization also took the time to recognize board members, past and present, volunteers, and community partners.
