KIRKSVILLE, MO -- A group of girls will compete in the Miss Northeast Counties Scholarship Pageant!

The pageant will be held in Kirksville and is one of 25 in the state of Missouri.

Angela Caraway, the pageant's director tells us the pageant offers many great experiences and scholarship opportunities for each of its titleholders and is well worth the effort.

"The contestants apply, they have resumes and platforms and contests they need to submit," Caraway said. "They apply to be a part of the program. We don't have a selection process, so if girls apply and they meet the requirements they got in by deadline and they can participate."

The pageant will be held Saturday, January 26 at the Kirksville Middle School at 7.

There will also be a Princess Academy going on, where a princess will be crowned.

The pageant winner will go on to compete in Miss Missouri and Miss Missouri Outstanding Teen.
