KIRKSVILLE, MO -- A Northeast Missouri man is accused of crimes against children.

Christopher Hunter, 19, of Kirksville was arrested Thursday by Kirksville police.

He's charged with attempted use of a child in a sexual performance.

Hunter is being held in the Adair County Jail on two separate bonds of $10,000 and $150,000 cash only.

Hunter was arrested yesterday afternoon in Jaycee Park on North Osteopathy Street.

According to court documents, Hunter has allegedly committed other sex crimes against children.

Police say he admitted to officers that he felt he has a, "fetish for little girls."

Back in December 2012, Hunter allegedly molested a 4-year-old girl inside a Kirksville church.

He now faces charges of first-degree child molestation, and two counts of first-degree statutory sodomy for that incident.

According to online court records: in 2011, Hunter was charged in Iron County, Missouri with first-degree statutory sodomy and sexual misconduct with a person under the age of 15.

His attorney in that case just filed a motion last week to have Hunter declared incompetent.
