Brutal assault leaves victim hospitalized

KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- Paul Hawn, 47 of Kirksville, is charged with first degree domestic assault and forcible sodomy, following an incident Wednesday night in Kirksville. 

According to court papers, Hawn attacked the victim after he accused her of "coming on" to his son. Kirksville Police officers saw that the victim’s face was red and swollen. There were bruises around both eyes and she also had two cuts. She suffered a nasal fracture, a fractured rib, and multiple contusions. The victim also told police Hawn forced her to perform oral sex on him during the assault.

Police went to the house where the assault allegedly took place and found Hawn lying in the bed naked.

The victim remains hospitalized as a result of injuries suffered in the attack.

Hawn is being held in the Adair County Jail under $150,000 cash only bond.
