SHELBYVILLE, MO -- A North Shelby School District bus overturned Thursday morning near Shelbyville as a result of slick road conditions and the season's first snowfall.

Superintendent Paul Sulser said the district was planning to dismiss classes at 11 a.m. today. The district has decided to keep buses off the roadways until they are deemed safe for travel.

Our sister station, KHQA, is reporting that 38 students were on the bus at the time it overturned. One was treated at the scene.

Anyone with questions should contact the high school office at 573-633-2410 or the elementary school office at 573-633-2401.
