OTTUMWA, IOWA -- The Ottumwa Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a sneak peak Thursday evening of the annual Holiday Nights 'N Lights display.

Businesses from around Ottumwa sponsored the event, as they have for several years.

Organizers told KTVO Thursday evening that the event is not only about bringing the spirit of the holidays to Ottumwa, but it is also about helping the community as well.

"It's really a great community project mainly because we can benefit a lot of charitable organizations that people can volunteer and designate an organization to receive the credit of the hours that they have worked; so it helps a lot of different organizations," said Santa.

The display officially opens on November 17th and runs through December 28th.

Tickets can be purchased at any of the BP store locations throughout Ottumwa.
