KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- Two women who once called New Jersey home are now reaching out to help those in need.

Collette Pretre and Heather Cianciola decided to have a Sandy Fundraiser, Monday night from 5 to 8 at Colton’s Steakhouse.

“When Sandy happened we really wanted to do something here to bring Kirksville together to support (Hurricane Sandy relief efforts),” Pretre said.

According to Cianciola, Colton’s is giving to one of the hardest hit areas from the storm.

“Colton’s is giving 10 percent of the profits from tonight’s tickets to the New Jersey Red Cross and also to the volunteer fire department at Surf City, which is on Long Beach Island,” Cianciola said.

If you can’t make it to the fundraiser Monday night, you can still donate HERE.
