MEMPHIS, MO -- Some high school kids got to play in the mud on this Saturday while also trying to raise money.

The Memphis FFA held its "Redneck Games" event at the Scotland County Fairgrounds Saturday afternoon.

Students got to participate in events such as mattress surfing, redneck bowling, belly flop, mudslide, and tug of war.

Even though everyone got mud on them from head to toe, it was a great time.

"Just a lot of fun and teamwork, something that they can do together and build up their chapter status," said Memphis FFA Advisor Cassie Whitlock.

There were two groups that participated in the events...the Swamp Team vs. the B-Team.

The event was done to help the FFA team raise money for their chapter.

Organizers hope to do this event again next year.
