KIRKSVILLE, MO -- Two heartland men are in custody facing numerous charges following incidents that happened in the Dogwood Trailer Court in Kirksville Friday morning.

Jeremiah Hurdle, 27, of Novinger is charged with felony counts of armed criminal action, three counts of first-degree burglary and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon. He also faces three misdemeanor charges. Hurdle is being held in the Adair County Jail on $100,000.00 cash-only bond.

Mark Zachary Junior, 22, of Green City is charged with armed criminal action, first-degree burglary and unlawful use of a weapon. He's also being held in the Adair County Jail with bond set at $100,000.00 cash only.

According to court papers, police were called to the mobile home off West Gardner Street after Hurdle and Zachary allegedly kicked in the door of the trailer and Zachary tried to hit one of the residents with a tire iron. Meanwhile Hurdle allegedly held a blade to the throat of another of the residents earlier in the evening.

Police say Hurdle had also threatened the residents with a brick and was taken into custody at that time.

Zachary was arrested after he was found hiding under another trailer in the trailer park.
