Putnam County school bus and van collide

PUTNAM COUNTY, MO. -- UPDATE: Two people were hurt in a crash between a school bus and a van.

Wednesday afternoon in Unionville.

Unionville Police Chief Tim Corwin told KTVO no students on the Putnam County school bus were hurt, but two people in the van were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Corwin identifies the injured as the driver of the van, Harland Kinzler, 83, and a passenger, Mae Kinzler, 84, both of Unionville.

The bus driver is identified as Leon Fowler, who was not hurt in the crash.

The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of 15th and Grant Streets, just off the Unionville square .

It hasn't yet been determined how the crash happened.

That remains under investigation.
