KIRKSVILLE, MO -- The Halloween season celebrations came early Saturday for one heartland organization.
RAIL, or Rural Advocates for Independent Living, held their annual Fall Social in Kirksville.
Despite the chilly weather, kids and their parents came out for a day of family fun and enjoyed games such as a cakewalk, decorating pumpkins, bounce houses, and a costume contest.
RAIL does this event every year for everyone to come out and see the services they provide to those with disabilities.
"Live a 'normal' life, that's the life a person with disabilities wants what anybody has. RAIL helps support on people having that life," said RAIL Board President Chuck Comstock.
There was also live entertainment and appearances by clowns, a fortune teller, and cartoons characters Clifford and Scooby-Doo.
