Adair County Young Farmers looking to add to scholarship fund with Truck & Tractor Pull

KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- The Adair County Young Farmers will look to add to their scholarship fund to local Future Farmers of America members as they host their third Truck and Tractor Pull on Saturday, October 6th.

The event will take place at the NEMO Fairgrounds at noon.

There will be a full slate of Iowa and Missouri trucks and tractor pullers,

New this year, will be the Prostock Four Wheel Drive Shoot-out. A $1,000 will go to the winner as up to 50 will compete.

The Truck and Tractor Pull is put on to benefit F.F.A. students as they get ready for the next chapter of their life.

"It's to raise money to provide scholarships back to the local schools, said the Adair Co. Young Farmers Treasurer Kelly O'Haver. "The last two years a senior graduating from Brashear, Novinger and from Kirksville High School (got scholarships)."

This year, the Adair County Young Farmers group will add an F.F.A. student from La Plata to their scholarships students.

Last year scholarships amounts were $100.
