First Responders were on the scene of a single vehicle crash on Ottumwa's east end Sunday afternoon.

More information released on the one-vehicle crash on East Main Street in Ottumwa Sunday evening.
Leland Sanders, 37, of Ottumwa was driving eastbound when he lost control of his vehicle and ended up in a ditch, striking a tree.
According to the crash report, there were no indications that the environment or a car malfunction played a role in the crash.
Sanders was not wearing a seatbelt and he was airlifted to the University of Iowa for possible injuries.
The vehicle was totaled and charges are pending.
The State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Wapello County Sheriff's Office, the Ottumwa Police Department and the Ottumwa Fire Department.

A single car accident on Ottumwa's east side ends with one person being life flighted.
As of Sunday evening, little details on the incident were released.
KTVO learned through several sources that the Ottumwa Police Department and the Ottumwa Fire Department responded to the 2500 block of East Main earlier in the day.
According to one source, two bystanders that witnessed the crash helped the driver out of the vehicle while it was on fire down an embankment.
When first responders arrived, the driver of the vehicle received medical attention but was then life flighted to a hospital outside of Ottumwa.
The Iowa State Patrol's traffic investigator was called in to assist with the investigation.
As of Sunday evening, the patrol has not released any information on their crash report website concerning this incident.
