KIRKSVILLE, MO -- Kirksville residents this past weekend came to the Willard School Building on Cottonwood and Centennial Street to see The Curtain Call Theater Company's adaptation of The Secret Garden.
The play was based on the classic children's novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett about a young orphan girl named Mary who moves to England in 1906 to live with her uncle and cousin after her parents died in India and along the way discovers a garden that hides many family secrets and learns about healing, friendship, family, and love.
From the dramatic acting to dancing fairies, there was a little bit of everything for adults and children to enjoy.
The cast and crew were very happy with the success of the show and the audience was left touched by such an amazing show.
The Curtain Call Theater's next production will be an adaptation of A Christmas Carol. Auditions will be taking place September 24, 25 and 29 at Christ's Family Church in Kirksville.
