KIRKSVILLE, MO -- If you are trying to plan a first date or a night away from the kids, here's an idea.

Tickets are on sale now for the Kirksville Parks and Recreation's Fall Broadway In The Park performance of "I Love You Because."

The musical takes a modern twist of the famous Jane Austen novel "Pride and Prejudice" as it follows four single people trying to find love in New York City.

The show has plenty of adult humor that couples will enjoy.

"It has everything that a typical relationship has from the flirting, the love, and the arguments. The moral of the story is why we really are with the people that we are with," said Kirksville Recreation Specialist Heather Darrah.

"I Love You because" runs from September 20-22 at 6 p.m. at the Jackson Stables in Kirksville.

Tickets are $18 and include dinner and the show. You can purchase them at the Kirksville Aquatic Center.

For more information, call (660) 627-1485.
