Trial date set in Heartland sex case

MEMPHIS, MISSOURI -- A longtime Heartland business man facing a felony sex-related charge for an alleged incident involving a young girl, now knows when he will stand trial. 

James Wood, 72, of Memphis, Missouri, is charged with first-degree child molestation in the case.      He’s now scheduled to stand trial beginning April 25, 2013, in a Scotland County courtroom. 

Wood has filed a motion for a change of venue. The hearing on that motion is scheduled for October 3rd. 

Wood remains free on bond.
