KIRKSVILLE, MO -- Some Kirksville residents went a little country this evening.

The Northeast Missouri (NEMO) Country Dance Club held its first class of the season Sunday evening at the Mary Immaculate Catholic School Gym.

Couples of all ages were taught some dance steps such as the two-step, swing, and of course the line dance.

For many people it gives them a chance to be active but have some fun at the same time.

"This is social time for my wife and me. It's something we share together. It's a recreational and physical fitness activity. We get a workout out of it. It's just a lot of fun," said Instructor Steve Hadwiger.

The dance class sessions last for about six weeks and costs about $30 per person.
